The Port de La Mer is quite naturally one of the most beautiful addresses along the waterfront in Dubai, with a fresh salty ambiance not to be found anywhere in the city. In this project, our client desired an interior that would be in line with the light and airy atmosphere of the space. They also requested us to provide and install new Blackout Curtains Dubai at the windows, and new rugs at the main floor areas, and the work was finished in November 2025.

Our group has begun with a visit to a house. When you walk into a Port de La Mer apartment, one thing that strikes you is the light - large windows, ceiling high, and gentle natural colours that introduce the seaside into the flat. The customer had no desire for anything heavy and dark. They desired curtains that would help regulate the light and provide seclusion at night, yet do not close off the home effect, but during the day maintain a relaxed feel.

We counted every window and talked about fabric. In the primary living areas, we have suggested soft sheer that will diffuse the sunlight and mellow the view, but do not block it. When it came to the bedrooms, we combined the sheer layer with a blockout layer so that the family could have full privacy and darkness at any time they want. This is a favourite of our homes where the natural light is beautiful, as it allows the family complete control of their home, without concealing the view. In the case of the rugs, we assisted the client in selecting the pieces of soft, relaxing colours that would blend with the curtain materials.

The floor coverings made the floor cozy and provided pleasant places to sit and relax, and combined to create the entire appearance of the rooms. Good carpets and good curtains are old friends; they make all the furniture look good. When we were installed, our fitters fitted each window with heavy curtain tracks and hung the curtains with attractive folds, and experimented with opening and closing the curtains to ensure the action was smooth.

The mats were laid in a right square position and at the centre of every space, and the remaining part of the floor behind the space was left to be original. The completed apartment was just perfect for its position, sunny, airy, and classy. The curtains and frames were a good line, the carpets carpeted the floors, and all the rooms seemed calm and well arranged. The client was extremely pleased with the way the new additions matched the overall ambiance of the home.
